Administration of the Department

The department holds regular departmental meetings at intervals to take decisions on issues affecting it.  Membership at these meetings includes the Head of Department as Chairman, all Academic Staff, Technical Staffs, administrative staff and the Departmental Secretary.  On a sessional basis, officers are appointed to oversee and coordinate essential aspects of the departmental affairs which are called committees.  The department currently operates eleven (11) of such committees that include: Accreditation, Postgraduate, examination and Records, Examination Moderation and Internal Quality Control; Development/Alumni/Public Relation; Research & Consultancy; Staff Welfare & Social; Students Affairs and Disciplinary; Review & Appointment; Finance; Curriculum committees.
